Role Description

If you’re a passionate games developer that lives and breathes programming and has a wealth of development experience then we want to hear from you. You will be confident at tackling all aspects of games and software development, taking project concepts and turning them into amazing gameplay experiences. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to bring your experience into a young and vibrant team. You will work alongside a multidiscipline team to bring even more rich, varied content to our products.

Responsibilities

  • Creating amazing gameplay experiences in a clean, efficient, and polished way.
  • Designing, building and iterating engine systems and gameplay features.
  • Supporting your fellow programmers with design and code reviews.
  • Working both independently as a sole programmer and as part of a larger technical team.

 

Experience & Skills

Requirements:

  • Excellent team player with great communication skills.
  • Creative, innovative, and conscientious in solving complex technical problems.
  • Fluent in the C# language, with an understanding and passion for readable and robust code.
  • Have skills in Unity 3D game engine.
  • Experience using source control systems such as Git & Perforce.
  • Have at least 1 shipped products as a programmer.
  • Have at least 2 years’ experience in the video games industry working on the development of games for PC, consoles or mobile platforms.
  • Be Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Be willing to relocate to Dundee, UK.

 

Desirable Experience:

  • Strong understanding of game development tooling and processes, art workflow, performance optimization and memory management.
  • Experience with modern graphics programming, including Cg/HLSL, is a strong plus.
  • Using and scripting common art and 3D software packages (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc) is a plus.
  • Programming for consoles including an understanding of TCRs/TRCs and the certification process.
